Sarah Palin - America's greatest hope? Don't think so!

Why is the Tea Party so in love Sarah Palin? Is she America's hope for the future, or is she just another failed political leader dreaming of becoming President of the United States?


Ok, I do have to admit she has a look about her that make people like her. But being good looking and having your finger on the button are two very different things. She was the Governor of Alaska for a whopping 2 years before she stepped down after the Presidental Election of 2008. Prior to that she was the Mayor of a small town in Alaska.

When I ask people what they think about her, the first thing that comes to people's minds is her famous remark - "I can see Russia from my house". To this day she's still the butt of many jokes from Saturday Night Live, to Jon Stewart, to David Letterman, and Jay Leno.

To be President or even think of running for President you first have to raise tens of millions of dollars to make your campaign a success. You have to win your party's nomination process which can take up to a year of fighting with members of your own political party. Then if you are lucky to win the nomination the fun starts all over again as in her case if she was to win the nomination, she would then be up against President Barack Obama in 2012, and if he's able to repeat what he did in 2008 by engaging the young, and black voters she, or any other GOP candidate has no snowball chance in hell of beating him in a general election.


While some will say that Barack Obama was not even a one term Senator when he decided to run for President, the difference between Obama and Palin is that Obama has years of hands on political experience which is no match to Sarah Palin.

If she was to become President, how would the politics of the United States change? Well I think the United States will move so far to the right that if the world was flat the States would fall right off. We would see the Church become more involved in American Politics then ever before. Stem Cell research will go away, and since Obama has overturned Bush's decision on stem cell research we've come so close to using Stem Cell's to repair muscles in humans, so people with MD, might be able to walk again.

The world would view the United States under her leadership as they did under Bush. The United States would go backwards and not forward under her leadership. Would she start to deport all illegals in the United States? Would she put up a fence along the boarder with Mexico, and shot anybody that attempted to enter the United States, much like the East Germans did with their citizens wanting to leave during the cold war. What would our relations be with the Arab world, the Russians, the Chinese, Pakistan, and even Canada under her leadership.

My biggest question is how would the Tea Party fit into a Palin administration? If she does run and does win, she would owe it all to the Tea Party, and I'm sure they would want something from her. America can't afford to have her as President, and I truly hope she does not run, and stays behind the scenes helping to elect other people. I think she should run for the Senate, spend a few years in Washington, learn how government really runs, and then she can run on a platform of changing Washington.
So please Sarah don't run, America can't afford to have you as President, and we need America to be a leader again in the world. :)
