Wiki Leaks website attacked

The whistle blowing website Wiki leaks has been hit with a cyber attack that's shut down it's website. A cyber attack, or the US government hard at work in making sure this website does not post anymore damaging documents.

Here's a link to the news article: http://www.canadaeast.com/news/article/1332879

What I find amazing is that a lone private was able to obtain all of these documents. We have the United States government monitoring all of our e-mails, phone calls, bank accounts, and the list goes on and on, yet they can't secure highly classified documents. Am I the only one who finds this strange? Anyway I've read some of the documents, and from a political point they are very damaging to the United States government who has spent the past 2 years since Obama became President to rebuild trust with nations around the world, which George W. Bush destroyed while he was President.

The main focus were the documents that related to the Middle East. Arab countries are scared as hell of Iran and are bugging the United States to do something. The last things these Arab countries want is a nuclear Iran. They have even gone as far as to allow Israel fly over rights should they decided to attack Iran. So to me it seems that they want the United States and Israel to do their dirty work for them. If these documents are true this is one the best times since Israel became a country to finally bring these arab countries to the table and establish peace with the Jewish state.

If one thing that would piss off Iran more that an attack by Israel and the United States would be peace between Israel and it's Arab foes. Just think for a second how much different the Middle East would be if Israel was at peace, and had relations with these countries.

We do live in very interesting times, and it should be interesting to see if anything positive happens from these leaked documents.
